Bad news for the remaining Samsung users left in the world. According to the troubled phone maker, Samsung is set to issue an update that will prevent the phone from ever working again or charging as soon as this month. The news comes amid an entire recall on the phone, and, a full-fledged ban on the phone on any domestic flight in the United States.
However, American phone companies are fighting back. Verizon says they won’t issue the update until later on for those traveling during the holidays and will need to communicate home. As for AT&T and Sprint, those updates won’t come until  January all together.
Samsung declined to directly comment on the latest revelation in their almost career-ending scandal.
