Black Lives Matter activist Deray arrested by Baton Rouge police #FreeDeray

BATON ROUGE —  Black Lives Matter activist, and perhaps, the most prominent of them all – Deray – has been arrested. According to social media, and a Periscope broadcast later discovered online, Deray was taken into custody after being intentionally approached by Baton Rouge police. In the broadcast, Deray, appears to make no immediate threat; intentional provocation, or discussion to police.

He was simply filming.  Cops in the broadcast shouted several times that if he was to step off of the sidewalk, he, would be arrested. Although, as most might see, Deray was “on the shoulder” per the video itself. Deray, was later slammed to the ground by four cops and struck by another.

As of this writing, Deray, and 33 others remain in police custody.
