ROME — Days after an American student arrived in Rome on a study abroad exchange program, said student, has now been found dead. According to Italian police, the body of 19-year-old Beau Solomon was discovered in the River Tiber Thursday days after Solomon reportedly arrived in the city.
His University, John Cabot University, has since released a statement regarding the sudden death of their student.
“We express our most heartfelt condolences to the Solomon family and to all those who loved Beau,” said a statement from the Rome-based English-language university.
Police are unsure at this time what may have caused Solomon to die. Sources confirmed that Italian authorities are investigating the death as a homicide.
