- Best Makeup and Hairstyling: Mad Max: Fury Road
- Best Visual Effects: Ex Machina
- Best Animated Short: Bear Story (this was Chile’s first Oscar ever)
- Best Animated Feature Film: Inside Out
- Best Supporting Actor: Mark Rylance, Bridge of Spies
- Best Documentary, Short Subject: A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness
- Best Documentary Feature: Amy
- Best Live-Action Short Film: Stutterer
- Best Foreign Language Film: Son of Saul
- Best Original Score: Ennio Morricone for The Hateful Eight (the 87-year-old’s first Oscar)
- Best Song: “Writing’s On The Wall,” Spectre
- Best Director: Alejandro G. Inarritu, The Revenant
